Updating and publishing products via our Citybreak-license
Here you will find information about how we work with updates and publishing of products for our channels, and all the deadlines you need to remember. This important information applies to those of you who have an Easy Access or iTicket account via our Citybreak license, a Zaui connection, or non- bookable activity products.
Note that our working methods might change. If so you will be notified by e-mail or newsletter.
Do you have accommodation products? Make sure that there are always valid rate periods and availability periods in Easy Access.
All product information and new products should be sent to [email protected].
By April 15th for winter products and by September 15th for summer products, you must:
- Submit any changes/editing to your products for the next season.
- Inform us if there are any products you had this season that you will not continue in the next season.
- Provide information for products that were not bookable this season but you want available in the next season.
- For new products, send us a completed product form and photos.
- Do you have a year-round product? For winter (deadline 15. April); extend the price period and calendar period to be valid up to and including 31st March of the following year. For summer (deadline 15. September); extend the price period and calendar period to be valid up to and including 31st December of the following year.
- If you will be updating your products yourselves (rather than VTR handling it): you must renew the price and calendar periods by the mentioned deadline. After you have updated, please send an email to [email protected] and inform us of any changes from the previous season. Products that are not updated by the deadline will be addressed by VTR during the last two weeks of April/September, as described in this article.
After your products have been updated, you need to:
- Log in and adjust/close the calendar.
- Thoroughly check that all text, information, and images on all products are correct.
- Make sure that all the products you want visible and/or bookable are indeed so.
- Let us know if anything needs editing and/or if there are product presentations missing.
If you have edits, or want to revive inactive products, this is what we need in order to edit/update:
- Tour period for each product.
- Which days of the week each tour run.
- Rate per person and price group and how the rate is divided between the different VATs (e.g. guide 0% VAT, transport 12% VAT, food 15% or 25% VAT, equipment rental 25% VAT etc.).
- How many spots should be made avaialble through Citybreak.
- Let us know if there are any other important changes e.g. departure time, meeting place, duration of the tour, what is included etc.
- You can send us this information by e-mail and/or use this product sheet.
Product sheets for new products and for edits:
- Do you have a new product you want published? Download this product sheet, fill it out and send it to [email protected] along with photos. Please use WeTransfer, Dropbox, Filemail or similar for easy downloading of photos.
- Do you only want to renew the price- and calendar periods, but have some edits (e.g. changes in prices)? Give us the information described in the paragraph above or download this product sheet for updates. Send to [email protected].

Important information
- Visit Tromsø-region does not take financial responsibility if something goes wrong. Therefore, check that the updates we made are correct.
- We only update products that have been open/active in the current/latest season. If you want to revive previous/old products, you must submit updated product information.
- If you have new products, submit the product form and images. Be aware that submitting new products late in the autumn will result in long waiting times to get them online.
- According to our consultation rates, we invoice for the time spent on updates (KPI-adjusted yearly), billed per started half-hour. You will find the consultation rates in the agreement document.
- Those with Zaui connection must remember to open towards Citybreak in Zaui; otherwise, adding new tour periods in our system will not help.
- In some cases, we may not have enough product information to update. It could be that we did not save previously submitted information, the information we have is outdated, or we cannot interpret the history in Citybreak. If we are missing something, we will ask for the necessary information. It is crucial that you promptly send us the information we need to update the products.
