Visit Northern Lights cabin - Guided tour to the Mountain cabin

General information

We guide you, directly from the hotel, up to a fantastic lookout point where we hopefully will be able to see the northern lights, but also to be in the pure nature of Northern Norway.

The tour goes to our cozy Norwegian cabin, which has windows in the roof and a campfire, which makes for an extra special nature experience .

We serve locally produced snacks prepared on a fire. This is not a full dinner, but an evening snack, so we recommend that you eat a meal earlier in the evening.

This is a typical Norwegian activity, and a very pleasant experience. We walk up to the cabin wearing snowshoes, and the trip up to the cabin takes about 30 minutes. the bonus of the trip is if we can see the northern lights dancing in the sky. But a sky lit up by stars, or the opposite, a northern Norwegian snow storm is also exotic to experience. You will be guided up by a safe and familiar guide.

The tour takes about 3 hours.

You need windproof hiking clothes, and preferably a wool sweater that can be used as extra clothes when we get to the cabin. Warm hiking boots, hat, mittens and headlamp

IMPORTANT! Transportation is not included in this tour. We offer private transport to the farm from the city center or the airport, Private transportation require minimum two people. 

Price from the airport: NOK 990 (for the minimum two people), an additional NOK 400 for any additonal person.

Price from the city center: NOK 1200 (for the minimum two people), an additional NOK 450 for any additonal person.

Alternatively, the public regional bus route number 420 departs Prostneset Bus- and Ferry terminal in Tromsø Monday-Friday, unfortunately not during the weekend. Bakkejord - Solvang is the stop for Yggdrasiltunet farm.
