Farm visit with a guide

This tour is organized by Svarvaren Gård. Come and visit a Norwegian farm and get the opportunity to get up close to the animals and learn a bit of history about Norwegian farm life. We cuddle, pet, and feed sheep, chickens, and rabbits.
General information
Our guide will meet you when you arrive at the farm. We’ll start with a tour and feeding the animals.
We have 6 Norwegian gray Trønder sheep, 3 Trønder rabbits, and 15 hens. All our animals are very curious and contact-seeking when you arrive.
After the tour, we’ll sit by the fire and enjoy a cup of hot drink (coffee/tea) and something light to eat (biscuits/lefse). The guide will also share some history about old Norwegian farm life and what it’s like to work on a farm today.
There will also be time for photography, as the location is perfect for taking pictures.

About Svarvaren gård
Svarvaren Farm started as a dream to create a sustainable and authentic farm, focusing on local food production and offering unique experiences for visitors.
We are passionate about communicating our passion for nature and the food we produce, and we strive to give our guests a memorable experience of life on the farm.
We grow vegetables throughout the summer season and have sales from the farm and various outlets in Tromsø.
We offer a guided tour of the farm, where the guide will show and teach you about our farm animals and the history of Norwegian farming. You get to feed and experience being close to our beautiful animals, the warmth of a fire, and a lovely view while we enjoy a hot drink.
Our tour is family-friendly and suitable for small children and babies too.
