About Polaria
Polaria is renowned for its distinctive building resembling ice floes pushed ashore by the rugged Arctic Ocean. In this unique Arctic Experience Centre, you will find the world's northernmost aquarium. Our societal role is to convey Arctic and Sub-Arctic research through collaborations with scientists from the Fram - High North Research Centre for Climate and the Environment. This mission is carried out through our interactive, research-based exhibitions and aquarium showcasing fauna and flora from the region. The aquarium is also home to our five playful seals of the species Bearded Seal and Harbour Seal.

An event at Polaria grants exclusive access to the centre after hours, with all our services and facilities at your disposal. Explore our spectacular Panoramic Theatre and delve into exhibitions highlighting the Arctic food web and climate research. The aquarium hosts a variety of thrilling marine species, and don't miss our unique gift shop featuring sustainable products.
