This tour is organized by Arctic Glow. Join us on a Northern Lights tour and take part in a complete Arctic experience.
General information
The tour is led by friendly and dedicated local guides who know the region’s nature and culture, alongside an experienced driver ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. We’ll leave Tromsø’s city lights behind and travel to carefully selected locations that offer the best chances to witness the Aurora Borealis illuminating the night sky. Along the way, enjoy warm drinks and traditional Norwegian snacks, staying comfortable in thermal suits. This is a unique opportunity to experience the magical Arctic atmosphere in an authentic and memorable way.
The Experience
Your journey begins in Tromsø city center, where you’ll meet your guide and driver and board our comfortable Mercedes Sprinter minibus. This adventure may take you along the stunning Norwegian coastline, through peaceful inland valleys, or even across the border to Finland – depending on weather conditions. Each destination is carefully chosen to escape light pollution and provide the clearest skies possible for viewing the Northern Lights.
If conditions are favorable, we’ll stop to set up a cozy bonfire where you can enjoy warm drinks and Norwegian snacks while soaking in the Arctic atmosphere. If our Northern Lights chase leads us to locations with access to grill huts, lavvus, or boathouses, we’ll use these to stay warm and comfortable. Your guide will gladly share knowledge and stories about the Northern Lights, as well as insights into life, nature, and culture in the Arctic, adding depth to your experience.
Our guides are happy to assist with capturing photos of the Northern Lights and can also provide tips to help you take your own memorable shots.
Throughout the tour, we’ll take high-quality photos of the Arctic scenery and our guests, if they wish. When the opportunity arises, we’ll also capture portrait photos under the Northern Lights. All photos will be shared with you via email after the tour.
As the tour concludes, we’ll drive you back to the same central Tromsø location where we started, or to your hotel in the city center.
