Experience the magic of the Arctic night on our Northern Lights Tour by bus, departing from the Polar Adventures office at 18:00. This unforgettable six-hour journey takes you away from the city lights in search of the breathtaking Aurora Borealis—one of nature's most spectacular wonders.

Your adventure begins as we leave Tromsø and drive into the dark, quiet wilderness, away from the city lights, offering the best possible chance to witness the Northern Lights in all their glory. Led by an experienced guide and accompanied by a comfortable bus, we’ll take you to the most optimal locations for viewing the Aurora, based on the night’s weather and solar activity.

While we do everything we can to maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights, please note that their appearance cannot be guaranteed. The Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon influenced by solar activity and weather conditions, both of which are unpredictable. Factors such as cloud cover, solar flare activity, and the intensity of the lights themselves play a crucial role in determining whether the Northern Lights will be visible on any given night.

If, despite our best efforts, we do not see the Northern Lights, you will receive a 50% discount on a new tour (subject to availability) so you can try again. We want to ensure you have the best possible opportunity to witness this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

Throughout the tour, you’ll enjoy hot drinks such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, along with cookies and snacks to keep you refreshed. Thermal suits are provided to keep you warm, making it comfortable to spend hours outdoors while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear.

Your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating facts about the Aurora and the surrounding region, helping you understand the science behind this natural phenomenon. You’ll have plenty of time to admire the lights, take photos, and immerse yourself in the magic of the Arctic night. If you’d like to capture the moment, professional photos are available for purchase at 150 NOK per photo.

Whether you’re an experienced Aurora chaser or seeing the lights for the first time, this tour offers a comfortable and unforgettable way to experience one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights.

Our activities are though in the way that all even the youngest of the family can have a funny time in our activities by boat, get surprised by the animals that we might see and sit with the captain, why not!?!?



We also take care of our Planet as much as we can and encourage our guests to participate actively on our purpose. 



We want to reduce how much garbage we generate by not using one use cups, spoons, etc. It is important to sort the garbage, so their usage cycle is not finished.
