The service fee is 65 NOK and is added to each transaction made through our website, agent booking portals, and at our visitor centres. The revenue from this fee helps us maintain and further develop sustainable tourism that respects the environment, the local community, and the visitors. 

As a destination company, we face increasing demands and expectations from both visitors and local stakeholders. To continue maintaining and improving our services, we rely on additional resources. The income from the service fee goes directly to supporting our work in hospitality, tourist information, and sustainability, enabling us to keep pushing positive development in the future.

To give visitors the best experience, we continuously work on improving our hospitality services. The revenue from the service fee allows us to remain open year-round and be available in more locations throughout the city. We ensure that both guests and locals have access to essential information such as mountain safety, weather conditions, avalanche risk, and other factors critical to safety and enjoyment, as well as travel advice, inspiration, and tips to help you get the most out of your experience in our region. 

• Provide information in multiple languages!  

To make our information more accessible to international guests, it’s important for us to communicate in several languages at our visitor centres. This makes it easier for travellers from around the world to access essential information and ensures a safer and more enjoyable experience in our region.

• Launch development projects that strengthen the Tromsø region as a sustainable destination. 

These may include projects that provide better insights into visitor statistics, the needs of future guests, or initiatives that enhance local involvement and engagement in tourism. We will continue to work on balancing tourism development with respect for the environment, the local community, and the economy.
