This tour is conducted by Aurora Borealis Tromsø. Welcome to a Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) chase designed for people who prefer smaller groups and more personalised service.

General information

This evening excursion departs from downtown Tromsø but which direction we drive depends on the latest weather forecast.

To experience the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), the main thing we are searching for is clear skies, well away from the bright lights of the city. Sometimes we drive out to the coast, sometimes inland and other times past three fjords up to the Finnish border. We leave the final decision as late as possible to maximize your chases of achieving what you came for – seeing the majestic Northern Lights dancing in the sky. When we find the perfect spot, we park the minibus and wait for the Northern Lights to appear. In the meantime, we help you adjust your camera so you can take good photos of the Northern Lights. We also serve hot drinks and biscuits while keeping an eye on the sky.

On this exclusive chase, the maximum group size is 16 guests. This offers a more relaxing experience away from the crowds and you will have plenty of time to speak with the guide and ask questions .

Seeing the Northern Lights appear for the first time is a magical experience you will remember for the rest of your life. The guide will take high-resolution photos of the chase, which will be shared free of charge after the tour.
As the Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon, we can’t offer any guarantees. However, given our experience and the flexible nature of this small group chase, most of our chases are successful. We look forward to you joining us for a chase and experiencing the thrill for yourself!

Included: Transport, guiding in English, hot drink, biscuits, a warm thermal suit and free high-resolution photos from the chase via dropbox – both landscape photos and an aurora portrait.
Please bring: Warm clothes according to weather conditions
