Please note! This is a 2-day adventure. The whale watching is on the second day, meeting time 08:30 at the whale watching partner. An overnight stay in Andenes is needed for this adventure. Accommodation is not included. Hotel options: Andenes Suite hotel, Thon hotel and Grønnbuene.

This trip includes scenic road transport by bus along one of Norway's National Scenic Routes on the fairytale island of Senja, 2 ferry crossings between the islands of Kvaløya, Senja and Andøya, to the village of Andenes - a truly complete summer. 2-day experience above the Arctic Circle, topped-up with a Whale-Watching Safari

Time schedule
Day 1:
8:45 AM (08:45) - departure from Tromsø centre (at large parking next to Scandic Ishavshotel)
10:45 AM (10:45) - ferry at Brensholmen to Senja - 40 minutes
12:50 AM (12:50) - photo stop at Ersfjord beach - one of Senja's most beautiful fjord beaches
3 PM (15:00) - ferry at Gryllefjord to Andøya - 1h 40minutes - keep your eyes open for whales and seals
4:50 PM (16:50) - arrival at Andenes (accommodation is not included)
Day 2:
9:00 AM (09:00) - Whale-Watching Safari and hot lunch (3 hours) - be at the Whale Watching partner latest 8:30 AM (08:30)!
12:35 AM (12:35) - departure from Andenes to Tromsø
8:15 pm (20:15) - arrival at Tromsø

Important information:
Departure location at Tromsø The Arctic Route departs from the large parking next to Scandic Ishavshotel, Tromsø. Meet up at latest 8:30 AM (08:30).
Hop off: After the second ferry (Gryllefjord-Andenes) get ready to hop off the bus at one of the 2 bus stops in Andenes. Either "Whale/Lighthouse bus" stop or "Andenes Suite hotel" bus stop.
Whale Watching partner: Be there latest 8:30 AM (08:30)!
Travel back to Tromsø: Pick-up location after the whale Watching at 12:35 (be there 12:20) at same location as drop-off
Food: On both routes, food can be bought on the ferries.

What to do at Andenes?
Visit the Lighthouse, built in 1859 and witness the best viewpoint over Andenes town, sea and mountains (open until 8:00 PM (20:00)).
Dive into the Andenes museum (open until 8:00 PM (20:00)).
You will find cosy restaurants and bars, such as Arresten and Lyshustet.

IMPORTANT! An overnight in Andenes is needed for this adventure. Accommodation is not included.
Hotel options: Andenes Suite hotel, Thon hotel.

The Arctic Route bus will make several drop-off/pick-up stops between Tromsø and Andenes.
