In summer 2024, travel by bus and ferry between the Capital of the Arctic Tromsø, Senja, Andøya, Vesterålen and the towns of Svolvær and Kabelvåg in Lofoten.

General information

The Arctic Route buses offer an incredible opportunity to explore the majestic beauty of Northern Norway this summer. With stops at some of the most popular and picturesque destinations along the way, you can enjoy the experience to the fullest. Travel between Tromsø and Lofoten, with stops at places like Mefjord, Ersfjordbotn beach and Hamn at the fairytale island Senja, and Andenes and Bleik beach in beautiful Vesterålen.

With daily dapartures at all the stops you can plan your journey to discover the wonders of the region at your own pace. With the reliability and convenience of the Arctic Route buses, your journey will be safe, comfortable, and stress-free. You can buy one-way tickets, return tickets between two destinations, or plan scales on the way with stops at several places with the full flexibility of choosing departure day.

On the Tromsø – Lofoten – Tromsø route, you can travel in a large area, spreading out between Tromsø and Kabelvåg/Svolvær in Lofoten, by bus and ferries. The buses are operated by the Arctic Route (part of Best Arctic) and the ferries are public (the ferry ticket is included on your ticket).

With the travel passes (4, 7 or 10 days), you can hop on/off on this route (as well as on the route Narvik – Å (Lofoten) – Narvik, using the same travel pass) as many times as you wish. Find more information about the travel passes on the Best Arctic homepage.


Luggage: Each passenger may bring one item of easy-to-manage hand luggage, which must fit under the seats or in the overhead rack, as well as one item no larger than height + length + width = 200 cm/23 kg. If you have special luggage, contact us for a request via [email protected].
