Combine the thrill of driving your own snowmobile through the remote wilderness of the Arctic, with a magical visit to the Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.

Generell informasjon

Depart from the city center of Tromsø by bus and embark on this exciting adventure. After a 90-minute relaxing bus journey, you will enter the remote area Tamokdalen where our wilderness camp is located.

Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and outfitted with all the necessary gear and clothing, including a thermal suit, boots, gloves and helmet as you will first head out on the snowmobiling tour.

Our expert guides will provide thorough safety instructions on how to drive a snowmobile, ensuring everyone feels confident and safe before heading out on the tour.


Snowmobiling

Follow your tour guide and embark on a breathtaking journey navigating along snowy trails, passing snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes. You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger.

Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you’ll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile.

After the tour, you can relax and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tent).
During your meal, a camp host will inform you where and when you are expected for the second part of your activity: the visit to the Snow Park.


Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park

Enter the park and discover the magic of the snow and ice sculptures. Wander around by yourself through a mesmerizing display of snow and ice sculptures, a snow maze and explore our two domes. Marvel at the amazing art coming to life with light in its natural surroundings of pristine nature and peaceful Arctic landscapes.


Encounters with Arctic Wildlife

Get close to the two most iconic animals of Northern Norway: cuddle and take photos with our huskies and go visit the reindeers near the park.

After your visit to the Snow Park, your day at Camp Tamok and Tromsø Ice Domes has come to an end. It is time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of an adrenaline-filled day in the Arctic wilderness and images of the magical snow art.

Total Duration: 09:00 AM – 05:30pm (17:30) (8.5 hours)

    • Important information:
  • The duration of the snowmobiling activity (the time you will spend on the tracks, driving the snowmobile) can differ day to day, depending on snow and weather conditions.
  • Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during some parts of the tour.
  • Self liability can be reduced to 1000 NOK by paying waiver supplement of 300NOK per driver.
  • This tour does not include reindeer sledding, Sami Culture or feeding the reindeer.
  • The reindeer herd exists of 5-6 reindeer.

    • Restrictions:
  • You need to be minimum 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile safely.
  • Passengers needs to be minimum 7 years old.
  • Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Drivers and passengers must be minimum 130cm in height to meet the safety requirements.
  • Pregnant people are not allowed on this tour

    Få mest mulig ut av vinterferien, forlat Tromsø og dra ut i villmarken med oss. Lyngsfjord Adventure tilbyr utendørsaktiviteter på villmarkssenteret Camp Tamok, kun en 90-minutters kjøretur fra Tromsø.



    Vi mestrer friluftsaktiviteter som hundekjøring og snøscooterkjøring og gir opplevelser som samisk kultur og reinkjøring. Se nordlyset under kveldsaktivitetene dine. Besøk iskuplene og få den unike sjansen til å lage dine egne snøskulpturer. Overnatt unna det urbane stresset.



    Gjennom vintersesongen har vi daglige avganger hver morgen og kveld.



    Dagseventyrene gir deg en fantastisk utsikt over de utemmede fjellene i Tamok-dalen, mens kveldsturene gir utmerkede muligheter til å oppleve det majestetiske nordlyset.
