General information

This tour is operated by Destination Tromsø.

Wake up to a new and exciting adventure, with the possibility of spotting whales right outside of your cabin.

We meet you in Tromsø city centre, where our ship, MV Quest, is docked. After boarding and settling in, you will get to know the ship as it begins its journey north. The expedition team will introduce themselves, and after a short but important safety briefing, we head to the lower deck for an exquisite three-course dinner inspired by Norwegian flavours.

After dinner, step out on deck and breathe in the fresh, crisp sea air. If you are lucky, you may catch an early glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.

Alternatively, you can relax in the panorama lounge with a drink and enjoy an engaging lecture about the Northern Lights. Learn more about the fascinating science behind this natural phenomenon, as well as the myths and legends that surround it.

Afterwards, choose your spot outside on deck or settle into the cosy warmth of the panorama lounge and watch as the lights paint the sky in ethereal colours.

At the end of this adventurous day, drift off to sleep in your warm and comfortable cabin, gently rocked by the waves. When you wake up at sea, a delicious breakfast is ready to give you energy for the day ahead.

After breakfast, join our expert guide in the panorama lounge for a short talk on how to spot whales and which species we may encounter. This briefing adds to the sense of adventure and gives you useful tips before we reach the whale-watching area.

Once we are in the best area for sightings, get ready for a memorable experience as we look for these incredible animals in their natural habitat. From the comfort of our vessel, you will have a great view, and our team will be there to help you spot and identify the whales.

Around midday, we serve lunch in the restaurant. After lunch, we kindly ask you to check out from your cabin.

In the afternoon, as we sail back towards Tromsø, you can join our guides again in the panorama lounge for an interesting talk about whale behaviour and conservation. Make the most of the final part of the journey, enjoy the views and reflect on your Arctic adventure.
